Notice

A key figure in the new wave of crypto-art, Fewocious has been painting since he was 13 and sold his first painting at 17. Leaving Las Vegas for New York less than a year later, the young artist sought to emancipate him·erself from a family environment which, in his eyes, curbed his·er creativity. Gradually, Fewocious adds animations and sound to the drawings s·he makes. And it was on the advice of his first buyer, a New York collector, that the artist quickly became interested in crypto-art.
In 2020, Fewocious makes NFTs available on the SuperRare platform before quickly federating a large community that follows all of its novelties. A hyperactive artist, s·he goes so far as to create one collection per month on Nifty Gateway! In 2020, her NFT Moment I fell in love sold for $25,000.
His The day I decided to fly and Moving on, offered in open edition at 350 and 1,000 dollars, have meanwhile been printed in 200 copies and are now worth 16,000 and 25,000 dollars each. Taking the opposite view of the notion of rarity advocated by NFTs, Fewocious designs large series and collaborates with many artists and brands at the same time, willingly combining physical objects and virtual creations. Recently, his·er physical and digital work Nice to meet you, I’m Mr. MiSUNDERSTOOD was sold at Sotheby’s for 2.5 million euros. This foray into digital art is for Fewocious, a transgender artist in search of freedom, a refuge and an escape from social clichés.
In a colorful style with powerful tones, his·er work resonates with the culture of graffiti and collage. While his distorted figures with oversized eyes may make one think of the artist him·herself, like self-portraits, above all they embody his deep fears and anxiety about human nature.
