Christophe Touzot s'est toujours approprié le réel et ses objets pour en questionner l'évidence de la forme et de la fonction. Ses œuvres puisent le plus souvent dans le vocabulaire de l'architecture (mobilier urbain) et du design (véhicule) qu'il détourne soit par un changement soit par un changement d'échelle surdimensionnée (abris, 1995, tablette-1993), soit par hybridation de l'animal et du matériel.

Christophe Touzot has always made reality and its objects his own, questioning the obviousness of form and function. His works most often draw on the vocabulary of architecture (street furniture) and design (vehicles), which he hijacks either by changing them to an oversized scale (shelters, 1995, tablet-1993), or by hybridizing the animal and the material.
